Rob Greenlee is a pioneering figure in the podcasting industry, with a career spanning over two decades of innovation and leadership in digital media. He began his journey in 1999 with the creation of “WebTalk World Radio Show," one of the earliest nationally syndicated radio programs to be distributed as a podcast. This groundbreaking move positioned Rob as a thought leader in the nascent field of podcasting, long before it became a mainstream medium.

In 2006, Rob joined Microsoft as the Podcasting Lead for the Zune digital media player. During his tenure, he was instrumental in integrating podcast support into the Zune platform, bringing podcasting to a wider audience and solidifying its place in mainstream media consumption. His work at Microsoft helped elevate the profile of podcasts, encouraging other platforms to adopt similar support and thus contributing significantly to the medium's growth. After his impactful stint at Microsoft, Rob continued to shape the podcasting landscape through various key roles. He served as the Chief Technology Officer at PodcastOne where he oversaw content strategy and technological development, contributing to the platform's emergence as a leading podcast network. Later, as the Vice President of Podcaster Relations at Spreaker and Voxnest, he focused on building strong relationships with content creators and enhancing tools for podcasters, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration. In 2019, Rob joined Libsyn, one of the world's largest podcast hosting companies, as the Vice President of Content and Partnerships. His efforts have helped Libsyn maintain its position as a leader in the industry, adapting to the rapidly evolving digital media landscape. Throughout his career, Rob has been a vocal advocate for the podcasting medium.
