Bio
Eric is the founder of LightningPod, an independent podcast production house based in San Francisco with clients across the US. He has worked in digital media and podcasting for more than 15 years, starting at WBRU-FM in Providence, R.I. He's also worked at WTOP-FM, Mental_Floss, AllThingsD, Recode, and Vox Media. From 2015 to 2020, Eric produced Recode Decode with Kara Swisher, one of the top-ranking Technology podcasts on Apple Podcasts; Adweek named it the Podcast of the Year in 2019. He previously hosted the internet culture podcast Follow Friday. Outside of podcasting, his interests include movies (follow him on Letterboxd @ heyheyesj), theme parks, and complaining about various tech companies.
